In March 2021, Asia Broadband launched a gold-backed cryptocurrency, the AABB Gold Token (AAABBG), using $30 million of its gold bullion as collateral with the goal of becoming a worldwide standard of exchange that is secured and trusted thanks to its unique mine-to-token vertical integration. At the token launch, 5.4 million tokens were made available at one-tenth (0.1) gram of the price of gold, establishing a price of approximately USD 5.60 for each AABBG token.
